As a proud Strategic Partner of The Liveability Challenge 2024, Nurasa is thrilled to be a Co-Presenter, alongside the Singapore Food Agency, of the Challenge’s Food & Nutrition track, which seeks innovations that enable urban, circular food production systems in the space of agriculture, aquaculture, and alternative nutrition.
Themed “Taking Stock. Raising Ambition,” this edition of The Liveability Challenge aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative urban solutions that enable large-scale decarbonisation, climate adaptation and resilience, as well as efficient and circular food systems.
Lim Hock Chuan of Temasek Foundation officially announced the launch of The Liveability Challenge 2024 during the “Cities:Possibilities” event organised by Eco-Business and presented by Temasek Foundation.
The Liveability Challenge, in its seventh edition, is a global hunt for innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of urban cities. The prize money up for grabs for top winners is S$2 million, featuring two tracks:
1. Climate Change
The Challenge seeks disruptive innovations that can decarbonise energy generation and industries, as well as capture and utilise carbon to create scalable products for global markets. Solutions are also sought that address ocean challenges including innovative models that restore and regenerate coastal and marine ecosystems in Southeast Asia.
2. Food & Nutrition
The Challenge seeks disruptive innovations that can establish a circular urban agriculture or aquaculture system, or alternative protein system. Innovative and breakthrough technological solutions to maximise production efficiency and minimise resource requirements, are also sought.
We extend our gratitude to Temasek Foundation and Eco-Business for this opportunity to support breakthrough innovations that will address the most pressing urban challenges!
