Fong Hoong brings a strong focus on societal impact, continuous improvement, and LEAN principles to his work. With a background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, he has accumulated extensive experience in manufacturing operations across semiconductor, medical device, and flavour & fragrance industries. His career includes key roles at Takasago and Eurofragrance, where he contributed to the expansion of Silesia’s Singapore Flavors plant and the establishment of Eurofragrance’s first factory in Singapore.
Specializing in Manufacturing and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), he has successfully managed operations while ensuring compliance with FSSC, Halal, and Kosher standards. His expertise spans automated equipment, advanced manufacturing, pilot plants, laboratories, and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) biomass incinerators. He has also led plant transfers, new facility setups (both brownfield and greenfield), and production line implementations and modifications, driving efficiency and innovation.
With a strong emphasis on operational efficiency and safety, he oversees facilities operations and ensures seamless execution of processes. His extensive experience and technical expertise continue to enhance operations, supporting sustainable growth and innovation.
