Chief Executive Officer
Xiuling Guo is a distinguished leader in the food industry, with over two decades of experience in the global ingredients and quick service restaurant (QSR) sectors. She was most recently the Managing Director of Cargill’s Global Edible Oil Solutions Business in Asia, where she oversaw over 55 markets across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Prior to joining Cargill, she served as the Supply Chain Director at Yum!, where she supported the business’ expansion plans in China. With a passion for creating positive impact, Xiuling currently works with her alma mater, Tongji University, as the Founding Partner and Industry Advisor to its accelerator programme. The programme aims to solve global sustainability challenges by connecting top-tier scientific minds, entrepreneurs, early-stage investors and global corporations. Xiuling holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University, a master diploma in financial strategy from University of Oxford Said Business School and is certified by INSEAD as an independent board director.
Chief of Staff
Alina has more than 20 years of professional experience in corporate, media and market communications, government affairs, and consultancy working for diverse industries, ranging from brewery, aerospace, transport, foods and pharmaceuticals. Her career journey encompasses companies such as Asia Pacific Breweries, SMRT, Lockheed Martin, Cargill and GlaxoSmithKline. Her responsibilities in her new role include corporate communications, government affairs and public policy, employee engagement, capability building and business partnering to the Nurasa leadership team. Alina’s own personal health journey has led her to believe passionately that food is medicine, and that sustainable healthy foods are the pathways to a wholesome and holistic life.
Head of Finance
A highly seasoned Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, Chee How is an all-around financial leader with deep business partnering skills to plan and execute growth strategies for fast-growing corporations in line with long-term sustainability. As Head of Finance for Nurasa, he is responsible for compliance and regulation, risk management, due diligence, financial reporting (IFRS and SFRS), and other fiduciary duties. He has extensive experience in finance transformation, M&A, international JV and IPO, combined with execution and management know-how to ensure business continuity, direction and value realisation. His career journey over the past twenty years has encompassed renowned companies among multinational corporations, as well as among start-ups. Chee How received his Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Head of Innovation Delivery
David leads the FTIC team in delivering facility operational excellence and best-in-class safety standards. His responsibilities also include overseeing business development and community engagement for the FTIC ecosystem. A keen believer in innovation and collaboration, David received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Science and Technology from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.
Strategic Project Manager
Sukhi oversees strategic projects at Nurasa. Armed with a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University College London, Sukhi brings a wealth of experience from her tenure at Boston Consulting Group and her ventures into sustainable startups, to the team. Prior to her current role at Nurasa, Sukhi founded her own sustainable durian brand with smallholder farmers and was a co-founder and co-CEO of Algrow Biosciences, a sustainable proteins startup. Her passion for connecting people extends from the boardroom to the dinner table, where she loves to bond over food and fitness pursuits.
Head of HR
Candice is a highly experienced Human Resource Professional with over 16 years of driving people-centric initiatives across various industries and regions. She holds certifications in IHRP-CP and MBTI® Step I™ & Step II™ and has a proven track record of partnering with executive leadership in large corporate settings to implement strategic HR initiatives. Candice excels in developing HR capabilities around Total Rewards, Manpower Planning, Talent Acquisition and Retention, Global Mobility, Performance Management, Talent Management, HR Systems, and Payroll. Her extensive regional experience includes 6 years in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, supporting 8 countries, and 3 years supporting the Global Business Group HR Director.
Her career includes successful tenures at esteemed organizations such as Frieslandcampina AMEA, Puma Energy Services, and Singapore Airlines, where she consistently drove talent growth and organizational success.
Candice is known for her ability to equip HR teams with a growth mindset and foster strong partnerships with leadership.

Konnie is a seasoned marketing and advertising professional with cross-functional specialization across corporate sectors, possessing the rare combination of brand strategy & operations, enabling a more holistic recommendation of practical & immediate solutions to drive the business. Adept at evaluating target markets, having designed and implemented marketing strategies within multiple fast paced markets like China, Taiwan and now Singapore.
Konnie has more than 20 years of Marketing Communication, Project Management & Innovation Experience, having worked with several F&B giants like McDonald’s, KFC & Pizza Hut across 3 different geographical locations within Asia.
Her most recent roles were Marketing and Innovation Lead for Dairy Management Inc. and co-founder Elev8 Foods Pte. Ltd.
Konnie is a 3rd generation Chinese who grew up in the Philippines who is fluent in English, Mandarin & Tagalog. She loves food and enjoys cooking for her family. She is very passionate about about food nutrition and sustainability and hopes to use her capability to play a role in driving these.
Office & HR Admin Manager
Nurasa’s Office Manager and HR Support Lead Maria is the proverbial glue that holds the team together. An Agile Certified Professional and Certified Scrum Master, she is a highly dedicated and experienced master in running offices and workflows for C-suite individuals and teams and balancing multiple workstreams. She has gathered extensive office managerial experience from previous roles in Temasek as well as for companies in the aquaculture, luxury fashion brands, beauty and cosmetics industries.
FTIC Operations Lead
Lim Fong Hoong has recently become the FTIC Operation Lead at Nurasa, bringing a strong commitment to societal impact, continuous improvement, and LEAN principles. With over a decade in manufacturing, Lim’s experience includes semiconductor and medical device sectors, notably with Baxter, and the Flavour & Fragrance industry with Takasago.
Lim’s recent roles have focused on Manufacturing and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), managing operations while meeting FSSC, Halal, and Kosher standards. His expertise covers automated equipment, advanced manufacturing, pilot plants, laboratories, and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) biomass incinerators. He is skilled in plant transfers, new plant setups (both brownfield and greenfield), production line implementations, and modifications, ensuring operational excellence and innovation.

A highly experienced senior business leader with over 37 years of experience in the FMCG industry, Pradeep is an expert in building businesses in both mature and emerging markets. He has managed a wide range of iconic brands, including those from Mondelēz International, Fonterra, Nestle, to name a few, across some of the world’s fastest-growing and complex emerging markets including China, India, Russia, Turkey, Middle East and ASEAN as well as developed markets like ANZ, Japan, Korea. Pradeep is the Founding President of Food Industry Asia (FIA) and now serves as Honorary Advisor to the Council. He sits on the Supervisory Boards of Royal DSM N.V. Netherlands, Max Life Insurance Company India, Niva BUPA Health Insurance India, Max India and Antara Senior Living India.
Managing Director, Agribusiness, Middle East & Africa, Temasek
Anuj is the Managing Director and Head of Agri-Food at Temasek. In 2013, he founded a team that helps innovative Agri-Food companies unlock their potential while making a difference in the world by offering sustainable solutions and delivering better diets. With over US$8bn invested since its inception, Temasek’s Agri-Food portfolio consists of many market leading and innovative companies and includes over 25+ breakthrough and disruptive start-ups – of which eight are unicorns.
Anuj holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated with Distinction.
Second Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Manpower
Mr Jeffrey Siow is Second Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Manpower. He leads national efforts to foster a productive workforce and progressive workplaces for Singapore.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Siow was the first Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Enterprise Singapore, where he was responsible for growing and transforming local businesses and industries. Mr Siow has also held other key government appointments at the Ministries of Transport, Education, and Manpower. Mr Siow was the Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong from 2017 to 2021.
Mr Siow graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an MBA. He also holds a BA in Economics & Government and a BSc in Urban & Regional Studies from Cornell University.
Head, Enterprise Development (Portfolio Development Group) and Deputy Head, Singapore Market, Temasek
Keat Chuan is the Head of Enterprise Development (Portfolio Development Group) and Deputy Head of the Singapore Market. Prior to Temasek, he was the CEO of Temus, a digital transformation services company majority owned by Temasek. He was also the founding CEO of Ensign InfoSecurity, a cybersecurity company that was set up by Temasek. Keat Chuan began his career with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and contributed to the industry development and investment promotion of Singapore for over 23 years.

Kenneth Chan is a seasoned Organisation Leader with over 30 years of hands-on experience in Fortune 500 consumer and retail multinational companies such as McDonald’s, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble and Singapore Airlines. Most recently from 2016 to 2021, Kenneth was an equity and operating partner of the Lionhorn Group [a McDonald’s licensee) for McDonald’s Singapore and Malaysia, as well as serving as Managing Director of McDonald’s Singapore. He helmed McDonald’s China as Chief Executive Officer, and as Division President for the Greater China region between 2009 to 2015. Prior to China, Kenneth headed McDonald’s Singapore as its Managing Director from 2004 to 2008 while having simultaneous regional responsibilities for Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia. Kenneth began his career journey in International Relations with Singapore Airlines and went on to assume regional and in-market brand positions for PepsiCo International and Procter & Gamble. Apart from his executive coaching and mentoring roles, he currently serves on the boards of Singapore Power Services and SaladStop and is as an advisor to The Live Green Co.

Geoffrey Margolis, Sc.D. is a highly accomplished inventor, engineer and entrepreneur with over 50 years of experience and more than 25 patents. With a passion for healthier and “better-for-you” products, he specializes in the invention of new products and processing methodologies and the scaling, implementation and manufacture of these innovative products across a wide range of sectors, including, food and in particular plant-based foods, coffee, wine, cacao, medical devices, urology, and renewable energy. His notable career includes significant contributions to companies such as Nestle, Califia Farms, Taco Bell Corp, E&J Gallo Winery, Mars Symbiosciences and Heliae Corps. As the prior director and head of LINOR, Nestle’s largest New Products Development Center, Geoff Margolis led the development of many globally successful products. (BlueNalu, Inc.)
Advisor – Nutrition Science
Robert H. Miller is a seasoned expert in healthcare, biotechnology and nutrition science with a strong background in research and development. He is currently CEO of Synpha Biosciences, a therapeutic startup to treat bacterial diseases, and on the Advisory Board for Portal Innovations. He was previously the Chief Scientific Officer for Nutrition at Kaleido Biosciences and served as Vice President of R&D, Innovation, and Scientific Affairs at Abbott Nutrition. Robert’s academic foundation includes a PhD in Nutrition & Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, underscoring his profound knowledge in the field.

Joe Light is a distinguished leader in ingredient technology and innovation, with a particular focus on texture, nutrition, protein, clean labels, delivery systems, and sweetness. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Institute of Food Technologists and previously held the position of Vice President for Global Development & Ingredient Technology, Co-Creation & Open Innovation at Ingredion. His work has consistently driven forward new advancements in food technology.
